Charles Hollis Jones, born in 1945, is an American artist and furniture designer. He is best known for his innovative use of acrylic and Lucite in his designs. Nicknamed "Mr. Lucite," Jones began his career at a young age, founding CHJ Designs at the age of sixteen and moving to Los Angeles in 1963. His works quickly gained popularity, attracting the attention of celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, and Johnny Carson, who commissioned pieces for their homes. Charles Hollis Jones's designs range from Lucite and brass tables and chairs to more unusual pieces like Tibetan fur chair frames.
