Five Empire Period Mahogany Armchairs
Set of five armchairs with Cuban mahogany and mahogany veneer seats from the Empire period. The upper backrest is carved with antique scrolls. The armrests and armrest consoles form lotus leaves from which come the heads of fantastical creatures biting balls topping capitals with friezes of water leaves. Saber legs at the back and front legs in the form of columns with a frieze of flowers and ball feet from lotus leaves. Later upholstery in yellow silk with Empire motifs.
Condition report : good condition with some minor accidents of use and small restorations. Some insect bites. Tiny marks on the silks of the seats.
