Circus scene by Edmond Heuzé depicting a small monkey on a pony signed lower left annotated on the backle cirque Médrano 1926. Edmond Heuzé exhibited at the Bernheim Jeune gallery in 1920. He exhibited numerous works inspired by the circus. He won the Paul Guillaume prize in 1938 for his portrait of the mime Farina. Edmond Heuzé became a member of the Académie des Beaux Arts in 1948 and was later appointed professor at the Ecole des Beaux Arts.
