Paul Emile Lecomte (1877-1958) Farmhouse In Provence Near The Alpilles In Watercolor flag

Object description :

"Paul Emile Lecomte (1877-1958) Farmhouse In Provence Near The Alpilles In Watercolor"
Very beautiful and large watercolor representing a farmhouse in the Provençal countryside at the end of the path, the Alpilles majestically in the background. The artist was able to translate the atmosphere of Provence and give us back its bright but nuanced colors; a variation of greens, ochres, gray-purple, beiges, even purple for the nearby mountain still covered in snow on the reliefs. An early spring with soft green grass... Signature lower right "Paul Emile Lecomte". It is highlighted by its molded and patinated wooden frame with light touches of gold. The artist is listed in Bénézit, Dictionary of painters, sculptors, designers and engravers. Dimensions: 35 cm x 46 cm at sight 57 cm x 67 cm with its frame Very good condition overall. The colors remained very fresh, as in the photos. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
