Lovely
necklace made of round and olive shaped glass beads
Each bead
has beautiful colors ranging from red to green, blue and purple and all
sparkle within with the inclusion of golden aventurine flakes
The beads
measure in size from 10mm to 30mm through the center. each bead is separated by
two small transparent burgundy glass beads

necklace does not have a clasp as it is long enough to not require any opening
to put it on over the head
All beads
are intact. As with all handmade beads, shapes vary and there may be slight
imperfections intrinsic to how the beads were made
The Glass Bead Torch Technique
The spinner uses solid glass rods, transparent or colored. Each rod is heated with a torch. First, in contact with the orange flame—the upper end of the torch—then toward its blue part, the hottest spot. When the glass begins to soften and become supple, the spinner begins their creative work. Using precise, traditional techniques, they work the glass. They stretch, turn, shape, massage, and spin it, as desired. The final shape of the glass bead comes to life before their eyes! The shaping time varies depending on the complexity of their idea.
The artisan must place their finished creation in the kiln to allow it to rest. Once the bead is removed from the kiln and cooled, it is removed from the mandrel. Then the glass spinner can add the final touches before use.
