Cobalt Blue Plate From The Manufacture Nationale De Sèvres, 20th Century.
Very beautiful Sèvres blue plate decorated with gilding on the rim. This emblematic Cobalt blue has been the signature color of the Manufacture's decorations since the 18th century and has since acquired international renown. This iconic color is applied in three successive layers with a brush with intermediate drying. The fine gold decorations are hand-painted. In the center, there is a head of Minerva. On the back of the plate, there is the signature and the stamp "Manufacture Nationale Doré à Sèvres". Very good condition.
