Louis XV Gilded Bronze Rocaille Candlesticks
Pair of Louis XV style gilt bronze candlesticks. Resting on a scalloped Rocaille base, the very elaborate shaft lets three intertwined light arms escape. Decorated with acanthus leaves and finely chiseled branches. Beautiful openwork cups receive the ornate sockets and their original bobeches. Early 19th century work of good quality. The gilding is very well preserved and no restoration has been undergone. Suggestion in lamp presented in photos.
