Enigmatic Female Figures

An artist between two cultures José was born in 1948 in Luros near Granada. He left his native land to join Catalonia where he met and married Angela. The political and economic context of his native country led the couple to leave Spain for other skies of freedom. France welcomed them in Collioure where they lived for a while. His journey, forged by his Spanish roots and his attachment to France led him to settle in Villeneuve-de-la-Rivière, for him, an inexhaustible source of inspiration. José is an artist and a great purian, he adores his world, his friends. His paintings are imbued with mysticism, he will reproduce in his paintings his enigmatic female figures bathed in origenic atmospheres. Tormented characters with deep gazes, reflecting human fragility and its great complexity. Landscapes, calm or stormy sea, paintings that reflect his artistic sensibility.
