Series Of Four Reliquary Monstrances - 18th Century
In alternately whitewashed and gilded wood and topped with a palmette, our monstrances receive in their center bagged ex-ossibus relics of Saints Dorothée, Maragareth Vierge, Béatrice Martyre, and Saint Honoré.
The phylactery of the latter saint is barely legible. A refined Italian work from the end of the 18th century.
Systematic presence of five episcopal seals, on the back of these pieces, symbolically positioned as are the five wounds of Christ on the altar stones. Dimensions of 54 cm by 17
Good condition
