Gilt Bronze Wall Lamp "venus Illuminating The World"
Wall clock in chiseled and gilded bronze. It is topped with an allegory of "Venus illuminating the world" and decorated with two angels in the clouds. Parisian work in the Louis XV style, 19th century. Superb condition, original gilding. Height 56 cm, width 25 cm Bibliography: A similar model is kept at the Carnavalet Museum in Paris.
