"18th Century - Tuscany - Sacresty Candle Holder Cassina"
Splendid carved wooden candle holder, from Tuscany around the beginning of the 18th century.The candle holder was used to contain the candles that adorned the altar and the presbytery areas during the liturgy.
The wood is in excellent condition, as are the original hinges and lock (with key).
The shape of the lid is characteristic, which is also hollowed out inside to allow the candles (round and squat) to have a wider seat in height.
Excellent condition for a splendid object with enormous charm.
