Pair of Louis XV style sauce boats in solid silver, made by the Brussels goldsmith Delheid, late 19th century. This superb set is composed of two sauce boats on a fixed tray, accompanied by their two matching spoons, the set being in 800 thousandth silver. The decoration is particularly refined, with animated edges decorated with rocaille motifs and stylized shells, typical of the Louis XV style. Each sauce boat rests on a finely chiseled raised base, giving the set an elegant and majestic presence on a table. The handle of the spoons is decorated with a finely engraved monogram, adding a personalized touch and testifying to its history.
