An exceptional Limoges enamel on copper 'plaque' painting after the Virgin and Child with the young Saint John the Baptist by Sandro Botticelli circa 1468.
Painted in grisaille and blue on a dark blue fond with many enhanced gilded details.
In very good condition. Only the frame has a little damage on one shell decoration and some rubbing of the gilding in places.
