"The flight into Egypt", lime sculpture, with old polychromy. Group consisting of Mary, the baby Jesus, on their donkey. Expressive and tender sculpture: the child seems frightened, gestures; Mary remains calm, the donkey follows its path... Beautiful pleating of the garment. Very good general condition (small lack of the child's fingers) Quite contemporary base (slight accident) Quality work, from Northern Italy, 18th century. Uncommon subject in sculpture
