"Terracotta Bust "little Girl With Braids Known As The Sulky One" After Saly 19th Century"
Bust in patinated terracotta in bronze color with brown patina after Jacques François Joseph SALY (1717-1776) representing a little girl with braids also called "La Boudeuse", 19th century. We will notice the sulky state of mind of the little girl in the expression of her face as well as the finesse of her braided hairstyle, the harmonious movements of her bun and the curves of her hair. It rests on a pedestal in blue turquin marble (formerly glued). Beautifully made, sculptural work and proportions reflecting the style of the 18th century, beautiful patina. The original work is currently in the Louvre Museum in Paris.
