Tibet, 18th Century, Rare Buddhist Bronze Seal Decorated With Auspicious Symbols.
Tibet, 18th century, very pretty and unusual bronze Buddhist seal decorated in relief with one of the eight Buddhist symbols -- the Two Fishes --. The Buddhist Banner is visible around its body. Under the base of the seal and forming its motif, another of the eight Buddhist symbols -- the Eternal Knot -- is carved in relief. The work is meticulous and of very high quality. This seal necessarily belonged to a very important Tibetan figure.
