René Dubois was a Franco-Belgian artist, born in Strasbourg in 1869 and died in Mons in 1985. He exhibited at the Salon d'Art Moderne in Charleroi in 1911 and with his Circle at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Mons in 1956 and posthumously in 1959. His work can be found at the Musée de Mons (La Neige, 1934). René Dubois is mentioned in Deux siècles de signatures d'artistes belges.
