Large poster or decor project for Le Bon Marché Vaxelaire, boulevard du Jardin Botanique in Brussels. Mid-20th century. Original gouache on paper illustrating tales by Charles Perrault. This department store was created in Brussels in 1860 by François Vaxelaire who opened several branches in Bruges, Charleroi, Nancy, Besançon, Le Havre etc. Paper mounted on wooden panel. Good general condition with folds and some wear.
