Lucienne de MEIFFREN (1895-1995) - Watercolor - Boat Watercolor on paper depicting boats Signature lower right Lucienne de MEIFFREN (1895-1995): Born in the United States in Philadelphia, under the name of Jacqueline Beam, she decided very early on to try her luck, as an artist, in the world capital of art: Paris. When she arrived in the Parisian art world, she changed her name and became Lucienne de Meiffren. In 1969, her works were exhibited at the Salons des Indépendants. She loved the seaside towns of Dinard and Biarritz, which she punctuated with light and vibrant watercolors. Her oil paintings are also lively and colorful. Visible at the Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, at 41 rue des Acacias, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris
