This bowl or empty pocket from the middle of the 20th century represents in its center a bull and a bullfighter. Note the monogram DR on the bottom. Gilbert Portanier is one of the ceramists who contributed to the revival of French ceramics from the 1950s to the present day. Based in Vallauris since 1948, he is known for the variety of his forms which range from the most classic and structured to the most baroque. He is often nicknamed "Magician of Colors". For the condition, note for the most picky minimal scratches, small jumps of enamel on the edge, however it is in a good state of conservation.
