Two 19th Century Double Doors From The Haussmann Period Equipped With Stamped Ironwork

These two double doors express the quintessence of the Haussmann era : pure lines, great height (275 cm), richness of ironwork stamped in bronze. They come from a beautiful district of Paris, 8th arrondissement, 50 meters from Parc Monceau.

The bronze ironwork (lock, top and bottom latch) are of very high quality, they are stamped 'FT' or Maison Fontaine locksmith of art since 1740. For more than three centuries, Maison Fontaine has contributed to the international reputation of French decorative locksmithing. Prestigious artists such as "Ruhlmann, Puiforcat, Prou, Bourdelle and Maillol" have created exclusive models. The paint is in very good condition. If you wish to modify it, a preliminary sanding will suffice, there is no need to strip it.
