Large portrait of a gentleman in armor from the Regency period. Oil on canvas (relined) Presented from the bust, wearing his armor and holding his plumed helmet, he is wearing his gentleman's wig. His outfit is embellished with a lace jabot and a red cape. His well-painted face, with firm and powerful features, reinforces his warrior qualities. French painting, of quality, from the end of the Louis XIV period or the Regency period. (circa 1710-1720) Beautiful period frame in carved and gilded wood, with floral motifs at the corner. Quality set, very decorative, from the beginning of the 18th century.
