Object description :

"Portrait Of Marie Anne De Bourbon, Mademoiselle De Blois (presumed) Pierre Gobert (circle Of) 17th Century"
17th-century portrait, from the workshop of Pierre GOBERT (1662–1744), depicting Marie Anne de BOURBON, known as Mademoiselle de BLOIS. She was the daughter of Louis XIV and Mademoiselle de LA VALLIÈRE, one of the king’s favorites.
Born at the Château de Vincennes on October 2, 1666, she passed away in Paris on May 3, 1739.
She became the Princess of CONTI through her marriage to Louis-Armand de BOURBON-CONTI.
She is sometimes described as the king’s favorite daughter.

The painting has been relined and shows one or two older touch-ups. It is presented in a recent gold leaf wooden frame.
The condition is as I discovered it.

Pierre GOBERT and his workshop specialized in creating portraits of King Louis XIV and his family.
These portraits were sometimes gifted by the king to local lords as tokens of gratitude or commissioned by the lords themselves to enhance the prestige of their residences.
