Imposing bronze representation of Shiva Nataraja, lord of the cosmic dance. India, mid-20th century. Provenance: Estate of the collector and Asian art dealer Claude de Marteau. This piece remained in the open air for several decades, a powdery verdigris patina naturally formed. We fixed it by treating the metal.
