A Blue And White Dish Ko-sometsuke L Ming
A blue and white Ko-sometsuke dish decorated in the centre with a bouquet of lotus tied with a ribbon. The rim with folded and open fans between precious symbols. The base with a character mark probably ‘ya’ (elegance). Tianqi C1620-27.
Diameter; 6″ (15.2 cm).
Condition; usual fritting.
The folding fan was a Japanese invention and was a popular import to China.
