19th Century Oriental Blue Glass Dower Powder Pharmacy Jar
Medium-sized pharmacy bottle, Dr. Dower's powder was mainly used against colds but contained, among other things, dry opium, and therefore very addictive and finally banned in the middle of the 20th century. Here is a container for this powder in oriental blue glass, blue so as not to deteriorate the properties of the contents. This jar has its porcelain label and its original hood cap and it dates from the 19th century.
