Mahogany Armchair, Consulate Period

Mahogany and mahogany-veneer armchair featuring a curved backrest.

The front legs are shaped like lion's paws, while the arm supports take the form of Egyptian female busts.

Consulate-period armchair (1799–1804).

The upholstery dates from the 1960s.

This armchair is suitable for use as an office chair or as an additional piece for a living room.

It may have originated from the Jacob-Desmalter workshop.

The upholstery can be restored later to suit your taste (my wife is a professional upholsterer).
