Chahab was born in 1951 in Tehran, residing in France since 1974, he lives and works in Nay (Pyrénées-Atlantiques). A graduate of the Decorative Arts of Nice, and of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts of Aix-en-Provence, student of Henri Goetz for the technique of carburundum engraving. Painter, engraver and sculptor, he plays on registers of diverse materials and textures. Heir to a double culture, he likes to evoke through the imagination the ancient sites of his native Iran.
