Eugène Marioton (1857-1933) was a French sculptor trained by August Dumont at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He regularly exhibited his works in the French Salons, receiving in particular the first place of the Société Libre des Baux Arts in 1883. He specialized in integral plastic sculpture inspired by mythological and historical literature.
