INGO MAURER (1932-2019)
German designer and entrepreneur specializing in contemporary lighting, Ingo Maurer studied graphic arts in Munich. He went to work for a few years in New York and California, before founding his Design M studio in Munich in 1963 and devoting himself to the design of lighting sets. He created ephemeral installations and participated in numerous light installations in Paris, New York, Milan, Amsterdam. His creations are part of the design collections of major museums (MOMA, SFMOMA).
