Bonheur du jour in Louis XVI style marquetry on all sides with the attributes of science, travel, and writing, decorated with everyday objects and flowery cups, in inlaid stained wood on a rosewood background. Upper part in steps opening with 2 doors revealing small drawers. Central part arranged with a drawer with a concave front surmounted by a niche with a shelf. Top surrounded by an openwork and gilded bronze gallery. Writing tablet with deployed top trimmed with leather. Front opening with a drawer in the belt. Base sheath with small sabots. Locks in good working order. Depth with open writing tablet. French polish redone. Very high quality furniture of Parisian manufacture, circa 1880.
