"Empire Directoire Hot Water Bottle Lamp, 19th Century"
Large Empire Directoire style bouillotte lamp from the first half of the 19th century (electrified at the beginning of the 20th century) with a finely chiseled and gilded bronze structure with three light arms decorated with griffin heads connected to a guilloché shaft resting on a base forming an openwork basket, note a pretty central cup forming a ring holder surrounded by a palmette frieze. The antique green painted sheet metal lampshade is highlighted with a gilded laurel crown frieze, it is adjustable by an arrow-shaped screw and has an arc ending with three swan necks, the upper part is topped by a plume. Good general and eclectic condition, dimensions: 60 cm X 35 cm.
