Jacques BIRR (20th century) Painted plaster medallion "The Hunt" Signed at the bottom Diameter: 25 cm Jacques Birr (1920 - 2012) is a contemporary animal painter and lithographer. A former chemical engineer, he is a knight of the Legion of Honor, knight of the National Order of Merit and knight of Arts and Letters. He also practices drawing and sculpture. The Monnaie de Paris dedicated a major retrospective to him in 1997 entitled "The Eye and Life".
