Large Gold And Enamel Salt Bottle From The Napoleon III Period
Scent or perfume bottle. It is pear-shaped. It is superbly decorated on both sides with gallant and pastoral scenes in the style of Lancret. The paintings are treated in polychrome enamel. It has a rich frame in chiseled and openwork yellow gold with scroll decoration. The stopper has the same decoration and opens with a hinge on its small internal cork stopper with gold grip. Eagle's head hallmark. Great freshness of colors. Height: 11 cm Gross weight: 85 g French work around 1850
