Louis 16 Bronze Cartel Signed Le Nepveu, 18th Century
Superb Gilded Bronze Wall Clock, signed on the Dial: Le NEPVEU in Paris (1736-1796). for LENEVEU, Clockmaker referenced in the Dictionary of French Clockmakers: Le Tardy, circa 1780. The case is in Draped Gilded Bronze with a background of openwork grids of geometric shape. The Upper part is decorated with a Louis XVI Pot and pine cones. The dial in white enamel with Roman numerals, and superb gilded and openwork bronze hands. Large Height: 94 CM Width 42 CM
