Christ Of Adoration Carved Wood Haute-epoque
Beautiful adoring Christ in carved and patinated wood (boxwood?). It was probably originally painted, and over time the wood acquired this superb patina. It has lost its arms and part of its right leg. We can obviously feel the experience of this sculpture of Christ over the centuries and that is what makes its charm! 16th century period.
