Louis XVI Sloping Desk In Solid Mahogany, Bordeaux, 18th Century
Sloping desk in solid Cuban mahogany, it opens with three drawers on two rows and a flap revealing an interior lined with 12 small drawers, 2 compartments and three secrets. The uprights and feet with rudentée fluting, the low crosspieces also decorated with fluting, characteristic of Bordeaux Louis XVI furniture. The drawer fronts and sides with panel decorations emerging from the mass. Period brass pull rings and rosettes, later locks. Quality port work (Bordeaux), Louis XVI period. Very good condition, safeguard restorations carried out, waxed finish.
