Bronze Furniture Decoration, Winged Sphinxes, 19th Century Empire
Very beautiful decorative bronze plaque for Empire period furniture, early 19th century. This antique decoration of two winged sphinxes facing each other. They carry a torcère and frame a Greco-Byzantine style fire pot. This gilded bronze is in perfect condition, the gilding needs cleaning but is still very present. No accidents or missing parts. The desk or other Empire furniture that will house this bronze will be enhanced.
