Antwerp Cabinet In Red Tortoiseshell And Ebony
Antwerp cabinet with twelve drawers decorated with red tortoiseshell bosses, around two doors behind which are nine drawers and a niche in perspective.
At the back of the niche a decoration painted on panel with a man in a turban.
Frame in ebony, red tortoiseshell with ivory edging, rosewood veneer inlaid with ebony;
ornaments in gilded bronze and embossed brass on the busts on bases, dolphins and putti.
Rear legs in gilded wood and blackened wood, also with tortoiseshell veneer and bronze ornaments.
Cabinet: Length 133 cm; Height 81.5 cm; Depth 46 cm.
Base: Length 150 cm; Height 96 cm; Depth 52 cm.
