Xavier de Poret (1894-1975): Squirrel on a branch, pencil drawing enhanced with colors, signed lower right in the plate. One of the favorite subjects of this great designer, a subject he particularly liked, since he had a tamed squirrel in his studio, he therefore had the possibility of sketching it in all its attitudes, and of creating very beautiful and very successful plates. Surely the greatest of all animal designers. RARE.
