Japan, Late 19th Century, Imari Port, Porcelain Jardiniere Decorated With Animated Landscapes.
Japan, Imari port, late 19th century, Meiji era, very pretty porcelain planter with a rich decoration whose name is identical to its place of origin, Imari, characterized by the use of blue, red and gold. The four sides are decorated with reserves depicting floral arrangements and gardens animated by characters. Even the upper part bordering the interior is decorated with lake landscapes and geometric patterns. The whole is very elegant and in good condition.
Dimensions: Length 27 cm. Height 16.3 cm. Depth 19.8 cm. The scale indicator on the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
