Important and large statue (1.90) representing a saint in carved, polychrome and gilded wood, depicted standing with a full beard and tonsure, holding the Bible, dressed in a surplice and alms, the latter with rich floral decoration. Wear of material and missing parts including the hand holding iconographic attributes making it difficult to identify the Saint represented. However, due to the richness and polychromy of the clothing and its silhouette, we can compare this beautiful and rare sculpture to Spanish compositions, particularly that of Saint Raymond Nonnat by Juan de Mesa. Rare document, large in size.
