Superb bronze of the poet Max Elskamp, one of the most important Belgian poets. Max Elskamp, born on May 5, 1862 in Antwerp where he died on December 10, 1931, is a Belgian symbolist poet. He was a member of the Royal Academy of French Language and Literature. He bequeathed his papers, his library and other objects from his collections respectively to the Royal Library4 of Brussels which deposited the collection at the Archives and Museum of Literature, at the Free University of Brussels and at the Museum of Walloon Life in Liège. The most important collection is at the Library of Antwerp.
