Czech painter J.V. Andrle born: 14. 9. 1936 "The Red City" Interesting painting by the artist, ethnologist, sociologist JV Andrle. The influence of impressionism is evident in his paintings, but the main motif is usually mystical and symbolic themes. His works are represented in private collections in the Czech Republic, the USA, France, Italy, Russia, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia. In 2007 he was awarded the Franz Kafka Medal.
