Marcel Canet (1875-1959) Marcel Canet is a painter known for his orientalist works, he had a close link with Algeria, the country in which he resided. He was a student of W. Bouguereau, Gabriel Ferrier, Henry Roger. He was decorated with the Legion of Honor, a member of the Salon of French Artists, Salon d'Automne and Orientalists, had many supporters. Oil on panel around 1930, presumed portrait of an Algerian woman, beautiful materials. Small scratches on the varnish.
