Bronze Sculpture Panther On The Lookout By Antoine Louis Barye
Magnificent bronze sculpture representing a panther on the lookout, based on a stepped marble base. Very beautiful patina signed on the terrace Barye for Antoine Louis Barye born in Paris in 1795 died in Paris in 1875. He was an accomplished painter and sculptor. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Later he would be recognized as the most famous animal sculptor of his time. Barye then knew ease and recognition for his art which he sublimated.
