Lovely 18th Century Carved And Gilded Wooden Berain Frame

Lovely frame called "à la Bérain" in gilded wood and carved with arabesques and plants in relief on a matte background of crosspieces; it is mounted with keys. It is finished with an interior border with gadroons fitted with a small projection of old hand-painted cardboard intended to reduce the size of the window. Held by cleats (one cleat is missing) which can be removed in order to restore the window to its original size. Beautiful old gilding in good condition. 18th century period. Dimensions: 40.5 cm x 35 cm overall Corner profile: 4 cm Rebate bottom: 30 cm x 25 cm Rebate with cleats: 27.5 cm x 22 cm Good condition. Tiny small losses.
