Object description :

"Pair Of Candlesticks End Of 18th Early 19th"

The candlesticks consist of a triple stem of caryatids surmounted by a finely chiseled gilt bronze binet.
The whole rests on a cilindrical base in cherry red marble adorned at the base with a torus adorned with ivy on a square plinth, all in finely chiseled gilded bronze.

These candlesticks are similar to the models created by Dugourc and are engraved on the base of one: "Gouthieres n°11" and on the other T, a Fleur de lys and "G.842".

These two candlesticks are quite remarkable for the quality of their carvings and the quality of their original gilding

H: 25.5 Base: 8x8cm
