Rare Art Nouveau Vase With Dragonflies From The Emile Gallé Crystal Factory In Nancy
Rare Art Nouveau vase in acid-etched glass decorated with dragonflies from Emile Gallé in Nancy, circa 1880 - 1890.
Amber glass decorated with scrolls and 4 dragonflies in flight, in acid-etched glass, white enameled and enhanced with fine gold. Note that the inside of the scrolls is also acid-etched. The neck is worked with a hot tool. The engraved bottom is black enameled and enhanced with gold, which is unusual for Gallé. I have not found any similar model, it is a very rare vase !
This vase is signed below "Cristallerie d' E. Gallé Nancy. Modèle et décor déposés" (see photo).
Height: 15.5 cm. Diameter: 9 cm. Very good condition. No cracks, no chips.
