China, 1950s/1960s, superb and unusual hard stone incense burner representing a covered pot with an openwork body resting on a rock. On either side of the pot are a Fo dog. A third Fo dog adorns the top of the lid and serves as a grip. The whole, reflecting refined work, is of very fine quality.
Height 16.3 cm. Width 16 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
